LUGAW – the all time Filipino favorite food which has grown to be part of the Filipino culture. This is what pushed Bienvenido M. Cruz, Jr., Benjo, to introduce the branded well-designed and sanitary lugawan carts manned by uniformed and highly trained salespersons, bringing indigenous lugawan cart concept to a higher level, thus, Lugaw Republic was born.

In 2005, and with the money Benjo was able to save scouted for an investment. He inquired from SM Marilao and, as fate would have it, KISS King Balls franchise was available for the taking. In the same year, under the franchise system, Benjo decided that he could establish his own franchise. Hence, “Lugaw Republic” came to life, known as the Pambansang Lugaw. Lugaw Republic received the “Most Outstanding Foodcart Franchise” during the 2011 Top Brand Awards, “Outstanding Foodcart Franchise” during the 32nd Top Family Product and Service Awards in 2012, among others.

Today, what seemed to be a business that will allow him and his family to survive on a daily basis, has now transcended borders and became a nationwide hit. Lugaw Republic, the Pambansang Lugaw, has maintained its mission of providing Filipinos quality products and services, contributing to the socio economic well-being of the community and enhancing professionalism with its strong adherence to its values of quality, honesty, integrity and commitment.
